Job Description:
Oversees the system-wide delivery and performance of Biomedical Departments. Evaluates current biomedical systems and processes to develop and implement system-wide standards. Implements a comprehensive biomedical program including preventative, corrective, and routine maintenance. Manages clinical equipment replacement and performance management of biomedical and imaging equipment. Develops in-house education, recruitment, and training programs for biomedical staff. Reduces and/or eliminates outsourced contracts for radiology, cardiology, dialysis, and ultrasound services. Achieves cost savings, reduces equipment downtime, and increases customer satisfaction. Writes technical specifications for capital equipment purchases and participates in purchase negotiations. Represents departmental services in the construction phase of hospital projects. Maintains readiness and compliance with standards required by regulatory bodies. Works closely with senior management and campus administrators to develop and implement financial business plans and strategies. Develops innovative ideas, processes, and approaches to shape the future of biomedical services. Other duties as assigned. Responsible for maintaining readiness and compliance with standards as required by DNV, The Joint Commission, AHCA / CMS (Agency for Healthcare Administration / Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), AABB (American Association of Blood Banks), CAP (College of American Pathologists), CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) and others common to the Biomedical Engineering field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• An experienced leader who knows how to effectively drive change in a complex and distributed yet system-oriented environment. [Required]• Must possess a comprehensive knowledge of technology-based field service operations in a healthcare setting. [Required]• Thorough knowledge of DNV, Joint Commission, local, state, federal codes and industry standards in the medical equipment field [Required]• Extremely strong leadership, management and coaching skills with an emphasis on people development [Required]• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written [Required]• Ability to present complex information clearly and succinctly to all levels of staff, partners and senior leaders [Required]• Ability to work in a matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals [Required]
Education:
• Bachelor's [Required]• Master's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
• in Science, Engineering, or related field
• in Clinical, Biomedical Technology, or related field
Work Experience:
• 7+ leadership experience in biomedical or clinical engineering in an acute care environment such as hospital operations [Required]

Pay Range:
$110,702.15 - $205,911.28
