Full Job Description
What you'll do day-to-day

  • Advise business partners on the commercial and legal aspects of compensation and benefits.
  • Draft, negotiate, and analyze compensation (cash and equity) and employee benefits plans and agreements.
  • Have the opportunity to research and analyze legal issues in other areas of the firm's existing businesses and potential new activities.


What we're looking for

  • A law degree and at least four years of experience in compensation and benefits at a law firm and/or in-house, including meaningful experience drafting complex executive compensation arrangements for investment management firms or other financial services businesses.
  • Demonstrated record of academic achievement; excellent analytical abilities; sound judgment; keen attention to detail; and proven drafting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with employee benefits law (including ERISA and the Affordable Care Act) is preferred, given this role will involve meaningful day-to-day engagement with benefits matters.
  • The expected annual base salary for this position is $250,000 to $275,000. Our compensation and benefits package includes variable compensation in the form of a year-end bonus, guaranteed in the first year of hire, and benefits including medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k) contribution matching, wellness reimbursement, family building benefits, and a charitable gift match program.
