Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in executive communications, public relations, corporate communications, with experience supporting C-suite or executive leaders.
  • Experience with narrative development, speechwriting, and owned content creation.
  • Experience with executive social media platform strategy, press relations, or working with tier-one business, tech, and trade journalists.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience navigating confidential and evolving projects where the path forward is not always defined.
  • Ability to work with high autonomy, pivot quickly in a changing environment, and manage confidential information with strict discretion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships with a range of stakeholders and build networks internally at Google, and externally.
  • Excellent cross functional stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to navigate complex issues and build consensus among teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage through ambiguity.

About the job
The Executive Communications Manager role is a high-impact, strategic role within the Corporate Communications team. In this position, you will serve as a dedicated communications partner to the Office of the President and Chief Investment Officer team, shaping their public platform and defining global narratives around priority topics including technical infrastructure, economic opportunity of AI, digital skills development and AI literacy- anchoring to Google's broader corporate narrative. This work blends creative storytelling, reputation management, and thought leadership. You will be responsible for supporting the development and refining of executive narratives, a social media editorial calendar, and coordinating across cross-functional stakeholders to land high-visibility moments.It's our job to help inform and educate users, advertisers, partners, opinion leaders--and our own employees--about the benefits of Google's products, our distinctive company culture/values, and our approach to the big public policy issues of the day. To succeed here, you'll combine creativity with organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines simultaneously, as well as enjoy pitching to journalists, bloggers and commentators, or producing internal communications and events for our employees.   • Support the development and execution of a comprehensive social media editorial calendar for the President and CIO. Support content creation, platform strategy, and engagement metrics to maintain a strong, authentic digital presence.
