THE JOB:

This role will report to: The General Manager

The Executive Chef is a key part of the F&B leadership team driving culinary excellence at our hotel. Together with your Sous Chef and Banquet Chef, you manage the daily kitchen operation, cost and inventory control, and cleanliness. You constantly train and develop a team of 13 line-level culinary associates, 7 stewards and 1 purchaser. You will partner with the Noble House Corporate F&B team for menu development. Beyond, you let your creative juices flow with specials, seasonal menus, buy-outs and Chef Tables.

YOU:

To be successful in this position, we're looking for an amazing culinary leader and people connector, who thrives on training and sharing their experience in luxury, independent hotels, resorts and restaurants. You should have experience in a similar size hotel, and kitchen. We're looking for someone who is very organized and who is skilled behind the computer as well as creating memorable food experiences. You will be instrumental in making this resort a success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and prepare menus that balance creativity and guest requests while ensuring cutting edge presentation and food quality in both the restaurant and banquet operations.
• Cook and directly supervise the cooking of food items that require skillful preparation.
• Schedule and coordinate the work of all kitchen associates to ensure that food preparation is economical and technically correct and within budgeted labor cost goals.
• Ensure that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are always maintained throughout all kitchen areas.
• Establish controls to minimize food and supply waste.
• Prepare necessary data for applicable parts of the budget; project annual food, labor and other costs and monitor actual financial results; take corrective action as needed to help assure that financial goals are met.

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
• Physical ability to work in hot, humid, and a fast paced kitchen environment for prolonged periods
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods thought the day
• Lift and carry between 30-50 pounds regularly or occasionally more, depending on the operation.
• to push and pull carts, equipment, and supplies weighing 50 pounds or more
• Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching stretching and twisting while inspecting production, assisting with food preparation or managing inventory.
• Ability to move throughout kitchen, banquet, storage, and receiving areas safely and efficiently
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and perform hands-on culinary tasks when needed
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sufficient stamina to manage long shifts during high-volume periods, special events, and banquets
