Position SummaryThe Executive Associate, Drug Development Strategy provides administrative and operational support to the VP, Drug Development Strategy as well as some support to the ED, Portfolio Implementation & Reporting. This role requires a highly proactive, self-directed individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and can anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
The EA serves as a trusted partner to the DD Strategy leadership and team, optimizing time, ensuring preparedness, and enabling effective execution across a complex and evolving agenda. A high degree of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive Support & Prioritization
- Proactively manage complex, rapidly evolving calendars; anticipate conflicts and optimize time against key priorities
- Make real-time scheduling decisions with minimal guidance, exercising strong judgment
- Coordinate travel (domestic and international) and manage expense reporting
Meeting & Operational Execution
- Plan and execute meetings, including logistics, scheduling, and material preparation
- Ensure leadership preparedness through proactive development of agendas, pre-reads, and supporting materials
- Track follow-ups and help drive execution where appropriate
Administrative & Business Support
- Serve as a resource for Workday, IT requests, and expense/budget-related inquiries
- Maintain proficiency in internal systems (e.g., SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
Prioritization & Decision-Making
- Anticipate needs and identify issues early; take independent action or escalate with context and solutions
- Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-change environment
Stakeholder Engagement & Team Collaboration
- Partner effectively across a matrixed organization, engaging stakeholders at all levels
- Communicate clearly and proactively, providing concise updates and recommendations
- Collaborate closely with the administrative community to ensure alignment and coverage
Team & Culture
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative environment within DD S&I as well as with other administrative assistants and partners across organizational levels and functions
- Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to support broader team needs
Required Qualifications- Experience supporting senior leaders in a complex, fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and take initiative
- Strong judgment and decision-making capability, particularly under time pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible.
