Full Job Description
A career with National Bank as a Senior Investment Advisor will enable you to develop your financial planning skills and advance your career in the investment field. As part of the remote advisory team, you'll have the opportunity to work in both mutual funds and securities to broaden the investment offering available to our customers.

This opportunity can be based anywhere in Western Canada.

Your role
  • Demonstrate the value of advice to your clients by applying a defined model and advisory approach (investment, financing and protection)
  • Build retirement plans, financial plans and retirement withdrawal plans to support clients during the key moments of their financial lives
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team (mutual funds and securities) to offer clients an outstanding investment experience and take charge of their financial needs
  • Manage long-term relationships with your clients (acquisition, retention) and be diligent in monitoring their accounts
  • Promote the service offering associated with this business model to enhance client engagement
  • As needed, direct clients to the appropriate expert (insurance specialists, financing experts, the full-service advisor (IIROC), people in the commercial banking sector, etc.)
  • Adhere to compliance and risk management rules
  • Maintain appropriate communication to satisfy clients according to established standards
  • Be involved in the integration of Canadian Western Bank by working directly with clients to transition them to National Bank and deliver the National Bank offer and solutions.

Your team

As part of the Remote Consulting team, you'll be part of a large team of 30 advisors grouped into small multidisciplinary teams, to better serve the customers in your portfolio.

Prerequisites
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, finance or related field
  • Must have 3-5 years' experience in an advanced advisory role in investment, financing and protection
  • Current Mutual Funds Representative (MFR) license
  • Experience in business development
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships with customers
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Must have knowledge and experience with Canadian Western Bank product offering, systems and processes (Asset)
