EVP, Group Management Director

Position Summary:
At BBDO Chicago, the EVP, Group Management Director is a key driver of agency growth, client success, and organizational leadership. As a senior executive, this individual sets the strategic vision for client partnerships, oversees high-value business initiatives, and fosters an agency culture of innovation, collaboration, and creative excellence. With a keen understanding of industry dynamics, this leader anticipates market shifts and proactively identifies opportunities for growth. The EVP is a trusted advisor to clients at the highest levels (CMOs, CEOs, and other C-suite executives), delivering transformative business solutions and creative strategies that drive impact. Internally, this leader serves as a champion of talent development and cross-functional integration, ensuring a cohesive approach to client management and agency success.
Responsibilities:
Define and drive the strategic direction for client partnerships, aligning agency objectives with business outcomes.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams in delivering innovative, insight-driven solutions that position the agency as a market leader.
Proactively identify and cultivate opportunities for organic account growth and new business acquisition.
Serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, contributing to agency-wide decision-making and long-term vision.
Establish and maintain deep, trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders (C-suite and senior executives).
Act as a strategic advisor, providing high-level counsel on business challenges, marketing strategies, and creative solutions.
Oversee the execution of world-class campaigns, ensuring alignment with client goals and delivering measurable impact.
Elevate the agency's presence within client organizations, positioning BBDO as an indispensable business partner.
Drive agency revenue growth through strategic account management and proactive business development.
Oversee account P&L, ensuring financial health and long-term profitability.
Lead operational efficiencies across teams, optimizing resources and maximizing impact.
Requirements:
15+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or consulting, with a proven track record of executive leadership.
Experience managing multi-million-dollar accounts and high-performing, cross-functional teams.
Strong executive presence, with the ability to influence and inspire both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated success in driving business growth, client success, and creative innovation.
Exceptional financial acumen and experience managing P&L.
Bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience required.
This position is based in Chicago, Illinois.

At BBDO Chicago, we believe being together in person enhances our ability to collaborate, communicate, and innovate. Currently, BBDO Chicago's in-office policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week.

The salary range for this position is $200,00 to $225,000 annually. Actual salaries will vary and be based on various factors including but not limited to budgetary and market considerations, as well as an applicant's experience, pertinent/specialty experience, qualifications, and tenure in role/similar role.
