Full Job Description
Job Description

Our Strategic Client Development team drives forward industry relationships and client engagement with a focus on Lazard's Financial Advisory clientele. We manage a growing portfolio of convening events alongside relationship mapping and development with senior leaders and sector-specific bankers. As Lazard's global platform and advisory capabilities expand, so too does the scale and ambition of our events program. We are looking for a driven, detail-oriented professional to assist event planning with a strategic lens, serving as a trusted partner to bankers and a key pillar of a lean, high-performing team.

We'll trust you to:
  • Partner closely with senior bankers to design and execute high-end events - from intimate salon-style dinners to large-scale conferences, key sponsorships, quarterly meetings, and multi-day summits - that build and deepen long-term client relationships.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of assigned events (including venue selection, transportation, accommodation, and catering) with flexibility and team orientation to contribute wherever needed.
  • Blend an understanding of the events process with a keen understanding of business context and relationships at the heart of each engagement.
  • Manage a high-volume portfolio of events with precision and foresight - owning timelines, logistics, attendee management, and follow-through in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Handle all client and event information with the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Liaise with various departments to gather information and reports required.

You'll need to have:
  • A team-first mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine commitment to your craft, whether you bring deep events experience or the drive to learn it; financial services exposure a plus
  • A natural attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs, navigate challenges, and uphold high standards across every element of an event
  • Strong management skills with demonstrated ability to discern and raise opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement
  • Comfort and poise working alongside senior professionals in a fast-moving, relationship-driven environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (including budget management) required
  • Familiarity with Cvent is a plus but not a requirement
  • Interest in working with AI tools and an openness to integrating emerging technologies into event workflows
  • Ability to travel on an as-needed basis

What we offer:

We strive to enhance the total health and well-being of our employees through comprehensive, competitive benefits. Our goal is to offer a highly individualized employee experience that enables you to balance your commitments to career, family, and community. When you work for Lazard, you are working for an organization that cares about your unique talents and passions, and will continue to invest in the development of your career.

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $110,000 - $130,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory's compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
