Full Job Description
Overview

The Microsoft Event Technology team designs and evolves the digital experiences that power Microsoft's most important commercial events. Working across marketing, field, content, production, and activation partners, we create intuitive attendee journeys that make it easy for customers, partners, and employees to navigate our events, discover meaningful content, and engage with Microsoft. From Microsoft Ignite and Microsoft Build to global tours, executive programs, and internal experiences, our team brings high-impact events to life at scale.

Are you energized by the opportunity to help deliver the digital experiences behind Microsoft's largest global events? We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Event Technology Manager to support and deliver attendee-facing digital tools across in-person, hybrid, and online experiences. This role sits at the intersection of attendee experience, digital platforms, registration operations, content delivery, data, accessibility, localization, and technical execution. The ideal candidate is a resourceful problem solver and cross-functional partner who can translate business goals and stakeholder needs into clear plans and high-quality digital experiences that help attendees discover content, navigate events, connect with Microsoft, and engage before, during, and after each event.

Responsibilities
  • Support the planning and delivery of attendee-facing digital tools and experiences across Microsoft events, including registration, agenda and session discovery, content access, mobile app experiences, wayfinding, networking, meeting scheduling, surveys, and online engagement tools.
  • Assist in translating business goals, audience needs, stakeholder inputs, and technical requirements into clear digital experience plans, timelines, deliverables, and success measures.
  • Manage assigned digital workstreams for events, including requirements gathering, platform configuration, production readiness, quality assurance, launch support, issue resolution, and post-event closeout.
  • Support opportunities to incorporate AI, emerging technologies, and other innovations into event tooling while championing accessibility, localization, privacy, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with event strategy, content, programming, production, registration, marketing, data, accessibility, localization, legal, privacy, regional teams, and technology providers to deliver cohesive and compliant attendee experiences.
  • Track platform dependencies, vendor deliverables, integrations, timelines, risks, decisions, and escalations within fast-moving event environments.
  • Contribute to operating models, workflows, templates, communication rhythms, and engagement practices that improve consistency, quality, and scalability across events and regions.
  • Use data, reporting, attendee feedback, and stakeholder input to identify friction points, improve usability, and inform future digital experience decisions.
  • Oversee onsite technology readiness across badge printing, check-in workflows, session scanning, lead retrieval, meeting tools, and support models. This includes assurance that data streams and reporting from onsite actions are accurate, timely, privacy-aware, and usable for event teams and stakeholders.
