ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking an individual, knowledgeable and experienced in the planning and execution of corporate events, event security, all - hazards emergency incident response & incident management, and physical security, to assist the Director of Tactical Operations in overseeing the planning and execution of events and activations across the Hudson Yards Portfolio. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company standards and industry "best practices," while leading initiatives to ensure a safe and secure environment across a broad array of events and activations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the subject matter expert, developing and overseeing security strategies and execution for all events and activations within the Hudson Yards Campus.
- Conduct structured risk assessments for corporate events and high-visibility functions and activations to identify threat exposure, operational vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Translate risk assessment findings into tailored, event-specific security plans aligned with Global Risk, Security & Resilience standards.
- Remain current and informed on industry trends, insights, emerging practices, and innovative approaches to best impact activations, events, and projects.
- Briefing senior leadership on event planning and execution and articulate risk and mitigation actions in clear, actionable terms.
- Develop and operate within budgets associated with events of various size and scope.
- Partner with events and marketing team and other cross-functional stakeholders to align protective measures with event profile, audience composition, venue characteristics, and executive participation.
- Ensure alignment across internal teams to deliver best in class events and activations that complement the company's brand and overall guest experience.
- Participate in meetings, perform advance work including site assessments and walkthroughs to validate assumptions, identify gaps, and refine security posture.
- Execute the full event security lifecycle, from planning and vendor coordination through post-event documentation and after-action reporting.
- Determine, procure, vet, and oversee appropriate contract security resources (both internal and external) in accordance with established standards.
- Participate/Lead meetings or on-site briefings to align contract personnel on scope, expectations, escalation protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- On an ad-hoc basis provide coverage for Operations and Coordination Center and any other associated task at the discretion of Senior VP of Security.
Compensation:
$100,000 - $115,000/yr + Discretionary Bonus

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management, Security Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of ten (10) years of supervisory experience in security field, special operations police experience, or emergency management.
- Experience in event security planning and execution.
- Experience in Executive Protection and managing high-profile clients, VIPS, heads of state, and executive stakeholders.
- Incident management/response experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex event programs and client deliverables
- Strong experience coordinating and collaborating with cross-functional teams on multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player and collaborate with cross-functional partners to promote and reinforce a culture of safety and security.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop incident action plans and brief stakeholders on plans, articulating risk and mitigation strategies in clear, actionable terms.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- New York State Armed Guard License.
- New York State Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) (preferred) or CPR/First Aid.
- Additional certifications from organizations or agencies such as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) ICS and NIMS certifications, National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA), National Fire Service Academy (NFA), Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) certifications are preferred.
