Description

SAIC is looking for a Personnel Security (PERSEC) subject matter expert (SME) to support a highly dynamic and growing program with one of our US Government customers. You will be a part of a large multi-year contract that supports our customer in systems engineering and integration across a broad portfolio of projects. You will come into a program that enjoys a close working relationship with the customer, bringing exquisite technical expertise to bear on real world problems, helping the customer execute real world missions that impact National Security on a daily basis. This close relationship, along with the program's longevity (20 years), ensures that as a new team member you will find a depth of support to grow and develop that is unmatched, all while making a difference - daily. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of our organization's personnel and assets. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for security to make a significant impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high accuracy data entry and maintain accurate and up-to-date security records and databases
  • Communicate with multiple Government agencies, contractor and team members
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines and be able to adapt to changing priorities and circumstances
  • Responsible for receiving, processing, and managing a variety of documents from Government agencies and contractors, including Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), continuous enrollment forms, and other required documentation
  • Communicate effectively with Government agencies and contractors to facilitate the clearance process, address inquiries, and provide updates
  • Conduct PERSEC security audits and ensure compliance
  • Provide PERSEC security training and awareness to personnel on security related topics
  • Develop and implement PERSEC Security Plans and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate PERSEC related incidents, investigations and reports to identify areas for improvement or resolution
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management or related field or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in personnel security or similar role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Government related software and security databases
  • Knowledge of Federal security regulations (SEAD 4, NISPOM, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when engaging with peers and senior level Government leadership
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing PERSEC security plans and procedures
  • Excellent PERSEC investigative and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally
  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community (IC) customers
  • Familiarity with the clearance processing activities for Government agencies
