Full Job Description
Overview

The Evaluation Scientist II represents an exciting opportunity to be a member of our System Evaluation Team. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and be responsible for projects, test strategies and traceable test results against user and product requirements while ensuring that final product meets customer expectations and intended use.

This is a technical position in which the individual could have a background expertise in LC/UV applications, Separation Science, Environmental or Chemical Engineering. The candidate will work closely with Waters R&D organizations, especially our product management, LC engineering and development teams.

Responsibilities

  • Member of a technical team in the creation and execution of validation and verification plans to reduce potential errors during product design phases
  • Drive validation/verification work completion to support assigned product roadmap
  • Participate in the review of test plans, summary reports and other project documents
  • Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of chromatographic systems
  • Preparing test environment including setting up computers, installing software and preparing LC systems for use
  • Coordinating with engineer team to support hardware obsolescence and LC system improvement projects


Qualifications

  • PhD with 0 or M.Sc. 1-2 with or B.Sc. 2+ with years of experience in analytical chemistry or engineering
  • Experience in analytical lab and participating in technical teams
  • Strong understanding of analytical LC-UV and other chromatographic applications
  • Experience in chromatographic separations method development desired
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong collaborative team building skills
  • Track record of working in technical teams
  • Desired: Knowledge and use of Waters products including LC systems (ie Acquity, Arc etc) and Waters chromatographic data systems (ie Empower, MassLynx)
