Job SummaryThe ETL Data QA will lead quality assurance efforts within a Data Lake and Data Warehouse environment, developing automation strategies and frameworks to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the data ingestion and integration lifecycle. The role will work closely with data engineers, developers, project managers, and other technology teams to support scalable and secure data operations, ensure IT SDLC processes are documented and followed, and drive continuous improvement in QA processes. The position will also be responsible for validating system quality during production implementations and ensuring alignment with applicable banking regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Lead quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data ingestion and integration.
- Ensure QA activities align with banking regulatory standards and enterprise quality practices.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT).
- Partner with project teams to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and project managers to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the ingestion lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, testing strategies, and automation capabilities.
- Create daily and weekly test execution metrics and status reports.
- Assist Project Managers and Scrum Masters in driving project teams toward defect resolution.
- Participate in walkthroughs, inspections, reviews, and user group meetings related to quality assurance.
- Analyze data and troubleshoot data quality issues.
- Create action plans to address data quality issues and support their resolution.
- Participate in production implementation verification and validate system quality.
- Lead and provide guidance to QA Analysts working on project teams.
- Ensure IT SDLC processes are documented, implemented, and followed throughout project delivery.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of ETL testing experience in a data warehouse environment.
- 3+ years of test automation experience.
- 2+ years of experience with Snowflake and AWS.
- 2+ years of experience leading QA Analysts on a project team.
- Strong experience with ETL testing and data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience with Python.
- Experience with AWS S3.
- Experience with Snowflake.
- Experience with Zena and DataStage.
- Strong understanding of data quality, data integrity, and data validation.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated, and well organized.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in the financial services or banking industry.
Strong experience with SQL.
Experience with test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, PyTest, or DBT tests.
Experience with cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and AWS.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps.
