Position:Estimating Manager
Location: Vaughan, Ontario
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Vacancy Status: This Posting is for an Existing Vacancy

Compensation:$75,000 - $95,000

About The Role

Reports directly to the Director of Estimating on all matters regarding projects. The Estimating Manager oversees daily operations of Estimators and ensures preparation of accurate, competitive and quantity takeoffs.

Duties are responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Lead a team of Estimators, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met;
  • Review and approve detailed estimates for accuracy, completeness and compliance with project requirements;
  • Ensure consistency and standardize of Estimating methods, templates and assumptions;
  • Participate in high-value or complex estimates as needed;
  • Maintain and improve Estimating process tools, and templates for efficiency and accuracy;
  • Provide guidance and support to internal teams, including answering Estimator questions and resolving outstanding issues;
  • Ensure proper documentation is up to date, version control and data when providing a bid proposal;
  • Work closely with Business Development, Project Management, Engineering and Operations to align Estimates with execution;
  • Participate in bid review meetings; and
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Director of Estimating.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology and Construction Management; and
  • Construction Estimation Certification is an asset.

Years of Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Estimating within the Construction and Manufacturing industry;
  • Experience in facade systems such as Window Wall, Curtain Wall and Railings is considered an asset; and
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience supervising a team within an Estimating or Construction environment is preferred.
