Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior ESRI Web Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise GIS web applications using the ESRI ArcGIS platform. This role is responsible for building interactive and responsive geospatial applications, integrating GIS data and services, and delivering scalable mapping solutions that support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in ESRI web development, strong expertise with the ArcGIS API for JavaScript, and experience with modern front-end technologies and cloud-based GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using the ESRI ArcGIS API for JavaScript and modern web technologies.
• Build intuitive, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces that enhance the overall user experience.
• Integrate GIS data, mapping services, and geospatial functionality into enterprise web applications.
• Collaborate with GIS analysts, developers, business stakeholders, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable geospatial web applications using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Perform application testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and technical manuals.
• Implement RESTful API integrations and web services to support GIS application functionality.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Support production issues, application enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, and Agile development methodologies.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 15+ years of experience in ESRI web application development.
• Strong proficiency with the ESRI ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of GIS concepts, spatial data management, and geospatial application development.
• Experience integrating GIS data and services into enterprise web applications.
• Experience testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and optimizing web applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Experience developing and deploying web applications in cloud environments.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
