Job Summary
We are seeking an AWS Engineer to design, develop, and support cloud infrastructure and platform services using AWS technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). This role is responsible for evaluating emerging AWS services, developing cloud solutions with AWS CDK, participating in Proof of Concepts (POCs) for Generative AI services, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS CDK, TypeScript, Node.js, cloud-native development, and AWS monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure and platform services using AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop and maintain cloud solutions using AWS CDK L1 and L2 Constructs.
• Extend and support enterprise AWS CDK frameworks and custom CDK wrapper libraries.
• Participate in and lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) for emerging AWS cloud services and Generative AI technologies, including Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, and related AWS services.
• Evaluate new AWS services and perform technical feasibility assessments for cloud platform initiatives.
• Develop cloud automation solutions using TypeScript, Node.js, and NPM.
• Monitor cloud environments using Amazon CloudWatch logs, metrics, dashboards, and monitoring tools.
• Investigate platform and application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation strategies to improve reliability and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cloud architects, software engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
• Support cloud platform optimization, security, scalability, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and cloud architecture standards.
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK), including L1 and L2 Constructs.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and NPM.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Experience extending and supporting enterprise AWS CDK frameworks and custom CDK wrapper libraries.
• Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native application development.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting cloud environments using Amazon CloudWatch logs, metrics, and monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Amazon Bedrock, AgentCore, or other Generative AI services on AWS.
• Experience conducting technical evaluations and Proof of Concepts (POCs) for emerging cloud technologies.
• Experience designing enterprise cloud platforms and reusable infrastructure frameworks.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation tools.
• Experience improving cloud platform reliability, operational excellence, and performance through monitoring and automation.
