About the role

The Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) Supervisor is responsible for leading safety initiatives, compliance programs, and environmental standards across multiple field service locations. This role provides direct supervision of safety processes, supports environmental compliance, and ensures field crews operate safely and in alignment with regulatory and customer requirements. Partnering with operations, HR, and corporate EHS to drive a proactive safety culture, oversee training and compliance systems, and provide hands-on job site support to protect people, equipment, and the environment.
Responsibilities:

Leadership & Program Oversight
  • Supervise and guide ESH activities across Houston, New Orleans, and field service operations.
  • Lead implementation of safety programs, SSE initiatives, and environmental compliance efforts.
  • Ensure consistent execution of OSHA, DOT, ISO, and customer safety standards.
  • Work with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to integrate safety into operations and project planning.
  • Conduct monthly safety meetings with supervisors and oversee annual safety goal setting, incentive programs, and continuous improvement projects.


Environmental Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting, and reporting requirements.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, spill kit inspections, and air/noise/chemical monitoring
  • Support facility audits and ensure emergency environmental response plans are in place and tested.


Safety Training & Records Management
  • Manage new hire safety onboarding and orientation in partnership with HR and Medical.
  • Oversee training compliance through TrainingToday, 360Training, and other platforms.
  • Ensure OSHA 30, confined space, fall protection, rigging, and site-specific training are current.
  • Coordinate external training such as NCCCO, NCCER, CSHO, and Safe Bolting - tracking completion rates against annual targets.


Field Safety Leadership
  • Conduct site visits for high-risk or large-scale jobs, near misses, or incidents.
  • Participate in pre-job planning with operations and supervisors to evaluate scope, risks, and safety requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and distribute Safety Execution Plans (SEPs) for each project, tailored to customer requirements and site-specific risks.
    • Communicate plans to supervisors, crews, and subcontractors before mobilization.
  • Provide onsite support for Daily Safety Meetings/Toolbox Talks, JSAs, WIP reports, PPE checks, inspections, and safety coaching.
  • Inspect tool units and field equipment regularly to identify tools or equipment that may have slipped through initial inspections, ensuring unsafe items are removed from service immediately.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
  • Partner with Field Service Supervisors to ensure lockout/tagout (LOTO), lift plans, and job permits meet standards. Express any concern to the Supervisor and plan for any improvements.
  • Support medical response and injury management in coordination with Prime GS and external providers.


Compliance Systems & Reporting
  • Ensure subcontractors and vendors follow site-specific safety plans and meet compliance requirements set by the customer.
  • Conduct site audits, verify qualifications, and equipment maintenance/inspection records. (forklift, overhead crane, rigging, etc.).
  • Oversee contractor compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, NCMS, Veriforce).
  • Manage OSHA logs, DOT compliance, certificates of insurance, ISO requirements, and EMR reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits; oversee documentation and corrective action closeouts.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports, TRIR, injury rates, and observation statistics for leadership.
  • Maintain records in Intelex, TrainingToday, and company systems (L-Drive, Teams).


Safety Culture & Engagement
  • Promote a positive safety culture through employee recognition, Yammer posts, and incentive programs.
  • Encourage proactive hazard identification, stop-work authority, and peer-to-peer safety coaching.
  • Partner with operations leadership to embed ESH into daily workflows and decision-making.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in field service, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Skilled in safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.


Shift:
  • Day Shift work hours are typically 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday thru Friday.


Work Environment:
  • Mix of office and field work (20/80 balance depending on the number of projects).
  • Frequent travel between Field Service Operation locations (Texas/Louisiana), and customer sites.
  • Exposure to heavy industrial environments requiring PPE use.
  • Must be available for incident response, after-hours calls, and emergency support.
