Overview

​​​​The ERP Technical Lead provides technical leadership for Joy Baking Group’s Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform, ensuring solution design, integrations, data migration, security, and technical delivery align with business goals and overall technology strategy. This role partners with the selected ERP implementation partner, functional teams, business stakeholders, and systems integrator to support the successful replacement of legacy AS/400 and Infor XA systems with a scalable, integrated ERP platform. Post go-live, this role transition to platform owner across full Microsoft stack to support D365 (Azure integrations services, Microsoft Fabric, Power platform, Azure Infrastructure) and ongoing operations, including system administration, technical support, platform optimization, enhancements, integrations, release management, reporting initiatives, and governance activities. The ERP Technical Lead will play a key role in ensuring long-term stability, scalability, performance, and continuous improvement of the ERP environment.​​​

Responsibilities
  • ​​​Lead ERP technical architecture, integrations, and solution delivery to support business objectives and enterprise deployment strategy
  • ​Oversee ERP data migration, validation, master data alignment, and data quality initiatives across ERP and connected systems
  • ​Define and maintain ERP technical standards, integration architecture, environment strategy, and system governance practices
  • ​Partner with Operations, Engineering, and IT teams to support integration between ERP and manufacturing/shop floor systems (e.g., MES, FactoryTalk, WMS, EDI, and operational technologies)
  • ​Support development and standardization of IT/OT integration architecture and enterprise data visibility strategies
  • ​Provide technical leadership and governance over Systems Integrator (SI) deliverables, solution quality, development standards, and implementation activities
  • ​Evaluate and challenge SI recommendations, customizations, ISVs, and accelerators to ensure scalability, maintainability, and long-term operational supportability
  • ​Own ongoing health, enchantment delivery, and continuous improvement access D365 F&O/SCM, Azure integration services, Microsoft Fabric, Power platform, Azure DevOps and Azure Monitor
  • ​Maintain D365 technology roadmap, tracking product release and deprecation and evaluating AI capabilities
  • ​Collaborate with business and technical teams on master data governance, data management, and enterprise reporting strategies
  • ​Ensure ERP platform alignment with cybersecurity, access management, backup/recovery, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements
  • ​Coordinate ERP disaster recovery planning, business continuity activities, and platform resiliency initiatives
  • ​Lead technical testing, deployment, cutover, release management, and post-go-live support activities
  • ​Support ERP platform administration, environment management, system performance, and legacy system transition planning
  • ​Support API, middleware, EDI, automation, and enterprise integration initiatives across the ERP ecosystem
  • ​Provide leadership, coordination, and technical oversight for internal IT resources, vendors, and SI partners supporting the ERP environment
  • ​Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, automation, process optimization, and long-term platform enhancement post-implementation​

  • ​Experience coordinating with external implementation partners and vendors
