Equity (Acquisition) Property Condition Assessor- Project Manager, Nova Equity Group

Job Description

Equity Project Managers at Nova Group, GBC., are primarily responsible for performing Equity-level Property Condition Assessments (PCA) as well as Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNA) in accordance with ASTM standards, local, state, and federal regulations. Equity Project Managers complete all aspects of assessments including field work, data compilation and report preparation for each project in accordance with the scope of work and our client needs. This role is at the core of our Equity Group Team and facilitates quality deliverables to our clients, exceeding their expectations along the way.

This position is expected to be based out of a home office, with convenient access to an airport in a larger metropolitan area. Field work will require travel up to 40-50% throughout the US to support national needs. Travel may include local and regional travel by car or air travel nationally.

Experience/Attributes Required
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or construction-related field
  • 2+ years of recent experience conducting and/or managing Equity (acquisition) Property Condition Assessment. Debt PCAs, PCNAs, and/or engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), architectural (Fire and life safety, ADA, etc.) consulting services and/or:
    • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE/EIT), or on track for Professional Engineer's License or Registered Architect's License (RA or AIA);
    • Knowledge of building components, systems, and cost estimating;
    • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and related specification sections.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong technical writing skills, attention to detail and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and work both independently and within a team environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Current, valid state driver's license (position requires a motor vehicle record background check)
  • Annual medical monitoring required
  • Physical Demands: Ability to physically navigate sites, (properties requiring roof access as well as construction sites), in various weather conditions. Requires the ability to climb ladders or access roof hatches

Qualifications considered a plus, but not required:
  • Current professional licensure/registration (RA, PE, EIT, etc.)
  • Experience conducting Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD, and other specialty project scopes
  • AutoCAD/Revit experience
  • RRC, RWC, REWC or similar certification(s)
  • Participation in National Standards Committees


Nova Group's good-faith estimate of the salary for this position at the time of posting is 100,000 - 125,000+ USD. Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's experience, skills, education, location, production and other job-related variables.
