ASSESSMENT FACTORS

1. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills to compose and deliver responses to complex questions in a clear, concise, and organized manner

2. Anticipates problems and obstacles associated with moderately complex projects and proactively develop creative solutions to address them prior to implementation

3. Makes informed decisions about work priorities to ensure accurate completion of assignments and projects, and makes adjustments as required

4. Develops fully proficient subject matter expertise in EO matters to work independently and provide guidance to others

as a SME in EO/EEO counseling or compliance, and demonstrates familiarity with at least three EO areas, such as complaints,

counseling, or compliance.

5. Demonstrates comprehensive EO expertise by independently conducting research across multiple platforms,

interpreting and applying relevant regulations, guidelines, laws, and directives, and serving as a trusted advisor to junior

officers on EO policies and procedures.

HIGHLY DESIRED SKILLS

1. Experience independently conducting EEO intakes and preparing EEO products, including Counselor Reports and

legally sufficient Accept/Dismiss letters, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and procedures.

2. Handles sensitive topics and non-routine issues confidentially, exercising discretion, professionalism, and sound

judgment.

3. Ability to prepare required reports, including the Form 462, and generate ad hoc data-driven reports to support

program analysis and decision-making.

Additional information

DIA positions are Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) positions in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1601. All applicants must be U.S. citizens at the time of application. Applicants must meet the agency's conditions of employment, to include, but not limited to, satisfactory completion of an initial special background investigation and periodic reinvestigation, completion of any required medical examination and physical requirements, completion of any required personal interviews, favorable completion of any required initial or aperiodic polygraph examinations, completion of any required drug test, satisfactory completion of a two-year Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System trial period, and completion of a civilian mobility agreement. All employees are required to sign an agreement not to disclose, in any fashion, classified information to unauthorized persons. All civilian employees are required to participate in the DoD Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer of Pay (DD/EFT) Program.
