Responsibilities

  • Identify compliance risks and propose process efficiencies and improvements.
  • Provide support for natural and cultural resource programs as assigned.

Full Job Description
Senior specialist and task lead responsible for multi-media program leadership, regulatory interface, and mentorship across the technical staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead multiple media areas or a major program (e.g., full air compliance including Title V, or the hazardous waste program across LQG sites).
  • Serve as a technical interface with regulators and NASA environmental management on assigned matters.
  • Develop and review complex deliverables - permits, compliance plans, monitoring reports, and NEPA documentation.
  • Mentor and provide technical direction to junior scientists; assign and review work.
  • Identify compliance risks and process efficiencies; recommend corrective actions and program improvements.
  • Support natural and cultural resource programs (e.g., protected-species monitoring, Section 106 consultations) as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Years of Experience: 8-12 years of progressive environmental compliance experience, including task/team leadership.
  • Education Level: Bachelor's degree in a relevant environmental discipline; Master's preferred.
  • Clearance Requirements: Must be able to obtain and maintain a NASA PIV badge.
  • Certification Requirements: 40-hour HAZWOPER; professional certification (CHMM, REM, or equivalent) preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) a plus.


Salary Range: $90,000 to $105,000

The compensation range listed for this position represents the good faith salary range Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and its subsidiaries reasonably expect to pay for the role, in accordance with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the position's responsibilities, the candidate's education, experience, skills, internal equity, market considerations, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements or legal requirements.
