Full Job Description
We are currently seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager for our Houston, TX office. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the globe.

As an Environmental Project Manager, you will work on a wide range of projects in an environment that fosters creativity, collaboration at all levels, a culture of support, and professional growth. EnSafe emphasizes empowering staff to practice our profession passionately and without limitations.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
  • Manage and perform tasks in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment supporting a variety of environmental assessment and remediation projects.
  • Provide overall task and project management and assist in establishing project-specific objectives, scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee site investigation activities (soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, indoor air [VI], soil gas, and other media).
  • Review existing data, develop strategies, and design technical approaches for site assessment and remediation for various/emerging contaminants.
  • Write and review technical documents, including sampling and analysis plans/work plans and investigation/monitoring reports.
  • Prepare remediation feasibility studies, decision documents, remedial action plans, and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate data validation, data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and data presentation/modeling with technical support teams.
  • Respond to client requests and solicitations.
  • Oversee and manage subcontractors, including solicitation and evaluation of subcontractor proposals.
  • Implement safety, quality, and risk management leadership at a project level.
  • Mentor junior staff to develop technical skills and client service culture.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Civil Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Professional Engineer, (P.E.) or Geologist (P.G.) is preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • including strong technical background and proven task, project, and leadership management experience.
  • Strong experience with and elevated level of knowledge of TRRP, RCRA and CERCLA regulations, laws, and policies.
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER and 8-Hour Supervisor training and refresher updates.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Training.
  • Proficient in
  • Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a client-first mentality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with dynamic project teams.
  • A business mindset: supporting corporate goals of growing revenue, maintaining profitability, and sustaining utilization through billable hours while successfully managing a variety of projects and personnel.
  • ability to travel 30% regionally with overnights.

Preferred Skills:
  • 2+ years of related project management, fiscal management, or task management experience; DoD experience is a plus.
  • Staff management and supervisory experience and interest in mentoring and coaching.
