Geologist/Field Team Lead to join our growing office in

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Team Lead to support a diverse range of environmental projects. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental sites and remedial investigations for both traditional and emerging contaminants, including PFAS and other complex environmental challenges. This is an excellent opportunity to join and grow EnSafe, getting involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients across the U.S.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will:- Planning, organizing, scheduling, and leading field and operations and maintenance (O&M) activities.
- Conducting site investigation activities including drilling, monitoring well installations, downhole geophysics, sampling (soil, groundwater, indoor air, soil gas, sediment, surface water, stormwater, drinking water, building materials, and biota) according to various State and EPA SOPs.
- Assisting Project Managers with CERCLA, RCRA, and petroleum projects in various stages.
- Assisting in the preparation of project proposals, estimates, work plans, and technical reports.
- Interacting and interfacing with clients, regulators, and subcontractors onsite
- Assisting in the development of technical recommendations for site assessment and remediation activities.
- Understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:- Minimum of a BS in Geology or Hydrogeology, Engineering, or an Environmental-Related Science.
- Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience, including oversight of contractors, air, soil, groundwater, wastewater sampling and drilling, field project planning, and execution.
- Professional PG or PE (or GIT/EIT) registration, certification, and/or geophysics experience are a plus.
- Outstanding proficiency in Microsoft Programs, including Word and Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. throughout the day.
- Possess current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification and 8-hour refreshers. Possesses, or could obtain, the 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor, OSHA 30 Hour Construction or General Industry, and First Aid/CPR training upon hiring.
- Valid driver's license to operate a vehicle in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain and maintain background clearance.
- Regional travel up to 40% on an annual basis, including overnight/weekends.
