What You’ll Get To Do:

  • Ensure full compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and standards
  • Oversee accurate and timely environmental reporting, monitoring, and recordkeeping
  • Act as primary liaison with regulators, consultants, and the community on environmental matters
  • Manage environmental budget, consultants, and plant compliance programs
  • Investigate and resolve environmental compliance issues, complaints, and risks
  • Lead training, permitting efforts, and continuous improvement of environmental policies and regulatory knowledge

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental, scientific, or engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of environmental experience in an industrial setting
  • Strong knowledge of federal, provincial, and local environmental regulations
  • Ability to develop, implement, and manage environmental compliance programs and strategies
  • Proven ability to audit operations, identify compliance issues, and communicate findings to management
  • Experience preparing permits, reports, and effectively working with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders

Work Environment:

  • Role operates primarily a professional office environment, but requires conducting business in a manufacturing location where conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels
