Eaton's IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Analyst. This role is based at the Orchard Park, NY facility.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do:Job Summary Eaton's Mission Systems Division is currently seeking an Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) Analyst. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility. The EHS Analyst helps to ensure our site's compliance with Environmental, Safety and Health (EHS) programs and regulations. This roles supports the development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives and supports a zero incident safety culture.
Job Responsibilities - Provide technical expertise to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental, safety and health regulations including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, IDNA, etc.
- Ensure and support completion of EHS trainings and timely site-wide communications to ensure compliance, address trends and promote employee engagement.
- Support and provide guidance for Eaton's management of change process for new processes, equipment, chemiical, facility and other similar changes.
- Participate in corporate and regulatory EHS compliance audits.
- Support and conduct incident reporting and investigations.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure occupational safety and environmental compliance. Ensure compliance activities and reports are completed accurately and on time. Ensure workers have access to and are using proper PPE for identified hazards.
- Track progress of site's safety, health and environmental objectives and targets. Collect data from various sources and prepare reports for internal and external customers.
- Drive and support behavior-based safety programs and works collaboratively with all employees to create and promote a zero incident EHS culture throughout sites.
- Drive a strong zero incident EHS culture and facilitate employee engagement through employee Safety Committee, safety related RIE events, and weekly GEMBA walks.
- Support MESH element champions and help drive expectations regarding their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements. Support annual MESH Assessment and and ensure timely completion of action plans.
- Be an active member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT); Create, coordinated and conduct ERT Drills
- Provide support and assistance to the EHS Department as needed.

Qualifications:Basic Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required
• Minimum 1 year of environmental, health, safety or related military experience
• No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited educational institution in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental studies, manufacturing engineering, management/business, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification.
Technical knowledge • Knowledge of manufacturing practices and processes and the relationship to environmental, safety and health risk.
• Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to work in an office, indoor, and outdoor industrial environment.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Soft skills • Ability to lead and support cross-functional EHS teams
• Ability to listen effectively and express ideas clearly to exchange information in a team environment
• Ability to make independent judgments on technical issues
• Strong time management and organizational skills
