As the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, operations, and environment by leading a proactive safety culture at the Winston-Salem, NC facility. You will drive continuous improvement in environmental, health, safety, and security performance through regulatory compliance, employee engagement, risk reduction, and operational excellence. By partnering with leaders and employees at all levels, you will foster accountability, strengthen emergency preparedness, and implement sustainable safety initiatives that improve workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and overall business performance.

What you will do:
• Lead and manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and initiatives for the site, ensuring a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company regulations, including OSHA, NFPA, EPA, North Carolina DNR, site security requirements, and workers' compensation laws.
• Direct incident, injury, and root cause investigations, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence and improve workplace safety.
• Oversee environmental compliance activities, including management of Title V air permits, NPDES permits, and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead and develop site emergency response capabilities, including First Aid Responder and Hazmat teams, to ensure operational preparedness.
• Partner with leaders, employees, and union representatives to drive employee engagement, build trust, influence change, and advance proactive safety performance measures.
• Develop and execute strategic safety improvement plans, leveraging strong communication, integrity, and problem-solving skills to achieve company goals and navigate complex business challenges.

Who you are:
• Bachelor's in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in safety, health, and environmental (EHS) management within a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify risks, evaluate solutions, and implement corrective actions.
• Knowledge of occupational safety, environmental compliance, emergency response, fire prevention, security, and medical response programs.
• Proven ability to conduct thorough incident investigations, determine root causes, develop corrective actions, and effectively communicate findings through presentations and stakeholder engagement.

Pay Range:
$102,100.00-$136,166.67 Annual
This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
