Full Job Description
Location: London, ON Workplace type: Onsite As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and technical improvement projects at the London facility. This role manages the full project lifecycle, provides technical expertise, coordinates contractors and engineering partners, and ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with engineering and regulatory standards. You will also provide technical support to the Maintenance, EHSS, and Quality departments as needed. This role reports to our Project Engineering Manager and has no direct reports. What you will do:
  • Lead capital projects through all phases, including concept development, design, budgeting, construction, commissioning, startup, training, and handoff to operations.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously while maintaining scope, budget, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, process flow diagrams, material and energy balances, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and process control strategies.
  • Evaluate and recommend equipment, systems, and technologies that improve plant performance and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, engineering, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
  • Integrate knowledge of The Green Book, relevant codes and facility permitting and polices while safely executing project objectives.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to continuous improvement, engineering standards, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Critical project objectives/milestones may require occasional support during off-hours.

  • Extensive project engineering experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment, minimum 7 years' experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility to obtain designation within one year.
  • Proven success managing capital projects and coordinating external engineering and construction resources.
  • Strong knowledge of project execution, engineering design practices, industrial safety standards, and tools such as AutoCAD, SAP, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results without direct authority.
  • PMP certification or active progress towards completion.

Relocation Available: Yes, Within Country Pay Range: $106,000.00-$141,333.33 Annual This pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any). Incentive Compensation: As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
