What you'll doThis role in the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team is responsible for implementing the environmental programs for all media and specialty areas (air, water, waste, sustainability) at Lam Research's Tualatin, Oregon location.
The Environmental Engineer is responsible for the compliance and continual improvement of environmental programs for Tualatin Lam site, applying and implementing requirements from a systematic perspective and integrating them into Lam's business culture. This includes management of Lam's environmental regulatory compliance, environmental permits, programs, procedures, policies, and support of ISO14001 registration. This position performs a variety of work to ensure compliance through explanation of permit terms and regulatory obligations, recommendation of appropriate action to assure conformance to current and new regulatory requirements, support of operational activities to minimize pollution, oversee or manage projects, maintain, and improve the EHS management system. Collaborates with all departments and functions as necessary to ensure effective implementation of compliance and Tualatin sustainability activities.
Who we're looking forMinimum Qualifications -
- Approximately 7-12 years of EHS experience in environmental engineering, environmental science, or environmental management. Semiconductor experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or other related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of wastewater treatment systems and air scrubber functions and operations.
- Prior experience with managing air emissions permits, wastewater treatment permits, stormwater management, and waste management.
- Knowledge of Federal and Oregon environmental regulations and requirements.
- Hazard risk assessment experience.
- Must be comfortable working in a laboratory, clean room, and construction environments.
Preferred qualifications- Professional environmental certifications.
