Responsibilities- Design, develop and maintain enterprise data platforms, reusable data products, AI-ready datasets, and agents that assist with and accelerate data engineering processes.
- Build scalable, reusable data architectures, data models, integration patterns and automation capabilities that establish common enterprise patterns across PCL applications and support repeatable DevOps and CI/CD processes.
- Partner with application teams to prepare, structure and expose business data for Copilot, AI agents and analytics solutions.
- Develop shared platform capabilities that enable solution teams to build business-focused Copilot, agent and analytics experiences.
- Support Microsoft Foundry and related AI development platforms, including administration, configuration, skill development and agent enablement.
- Assist in the creation and communication of technical standards, templates and repeatable delivery patterns for enterprise data and AI solutions.
- Ensure data and AI platform work aligns with governance, security, privacy, architecture and development standards.
- Create and execute test cases and documentation.
- Support the deployment and operationalization of enterprise data and AI capabilities.
- Estimate technical effort, plan assigned work and participate in Agile delivery activities.
- Mentor team members on modern data platforms, AI development tools, architecture patterns and delivery practices.
- Research, evaluate and recommend tools and practices that strengthen PCL's data and AI platform capabilities.
Qualifications- Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, software development or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a related field.
- Proven experience with:
- Enterprise data architecture and data modeling
- Relational databases and SQL development
- Cloud-based data and analytics platforms
- Data integration, APIs and solution architecture
- Software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices
- GitHub, Azure DevOps or equivalent development platforms
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable enterprise data solutions.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated and eager to learn.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with:
- Experience with Enterprise data governance, data quality and stewardship
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric or comparable modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Foundry, Copilot Studio or similar AI development platforms
- Knowledge of AI agent development and orchestration
- Experience with Python and modern automation frameworks
- Experience with Power BI semantic models and enterprise analytics solutions
- Familiarity with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services or similar AI technologies
- Experience developing reusable architecture patterns, standards and frameworks
- Passion for mentoring others and helping grow organizational capabilities
