Full Job Description
Enterprise Compliance Director Job Description Brooks is seeking a Director-level Enterprise Compliance leader to build on the company's existing compliance foundation and strengthen it into a more integrated, risk-based, audit-ready program that complies with Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) expectations, DOJ guidance, and applicable enterprise compliance requirements. This is a builder role: the right leader will create structure, connect workstreams, clarify ownership, and put durable management systems in place. The role will partner closely with Legal, EHS & Sustainability, Supply Chain, Finance, HR, Operations, and business leaders worldwide to translate existing compliance activity into a cohesive enterprise program with clear obligations, ownership, supplier and third-party due diligence, evidence standards, and continuous improvement routines. This role owns the enterprise compliance framework, governance cadence, evidence model, risk assessment process, management system, and escalation routines that allow Brooks to demonstrate an integrated and RBA-defensible program. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Compliance Program Build, Integration & RBA-Defensible Framework • Build on Brooks' existing compliance foundation by formalizing and integrating governance, policies, procedures, controls, training expectations, monitoring, reporting, issue management, and continuous improvement across functional owners. • Create the operating model, cadence, and accountability structure needed to scale compliance through business and functional leaders, rather than centralizing all execution in one role. • Strengthen and operationalize a compliance framework aligned to RBA expectations for labor, ethics, health and safety, environmental responsibility, and management systems, working through the functional leaders who own those areas. • Build or formalize scalable processes for enterprise compliance risk assessment, supplier and third-party risk management, ethics and compliance governance, policy and control ownership, corrective action tracking, remediation governance, and effectiveness reporting. • Establish a risk-based compliance roadmap with prioritized milestones, measurable outcomes, and clear executive visibility. Program Leadership & Governance • Translate regulatory, customer, RBA, and internal policy requirements into clear expectations, ownership, escalation paths, and management routines across the organization. • Develop and track compliance metrics that demonstrate effectiveness, risk reduction, remediation progress, audit readiness, and leadership accountability. • Partner closely with EHS & Sustainability, Supply Chain, HR, Operations, and Legal to align responsible business conduct, human rights, ethics, environmental, and supplier due diligence expectations while preserving functional ownership for execution. • Prepare practical materials and insights for senior leadership and Board-level discussions, including risk themes, program maturity, audit readiness, and remediation status. • Establish a regular cadence for compliance governance, including risk reviews, policy reviews, training effectiveness reviews, corrective action tracking, and escalation of material issues. Business Partnership • Act as a trusted advisor to global business and functional leaders. • Balance rigor with pragmatism, providing solutions that protect Brooks without slowing the business unnecessarily. • Build credibility through strong judgment, clear communication, and consistent follow-through. What Success Looks Like • Brooks' existing compliance activities are connected into an integrated enterprise program with clear governance, functional ownership, documentation standards, controls, monitoring, and reporting. • The company can demonstrate a credible, RBA-defensible approach to responsible business conduct, supplier due diligence, corrective action management, and audit readiness. • Compliance risks are identified, prioritized, tracked, and remediated through a disciplined management system, with accountable owners and executive visibility. • Business leaders understand compliance expectations and see the function as a partner that enables responsible growth, customer trust, and operational discipline. Qualifications & Experience • 10+ years of experience in enterprise compliance, corporate compliance, ethics and compliance, responsible sourcing, supplier responsibility, legal, or related roles. • Demonstrated experience building, formalizing, or significantly scaling compliance programs. • Strong familiarity with RBA expectations preferred. • Experience operating in a global, matrixed organization with manufacturing, technology, supply chain, or industrial operations preferred. • Ability to convert broad compliance expectations into practical processes, evidence requirements, metrics, and management routines. • Ability to engage credibly with senior leaders while also driving execution at the working level. • Law degree, advanced degree, or relevant compliance, audit, sustainability, or risk certification a plus but not required. Why This Role Is Different • This is a builder role for a leader who can take an existing compliance foundation and create the connective tissue, governance, and management system needed for an integrated enterprise compliance program aligned to RBA, customer, regulatory, and internal expectations. • You will help shape the next stage of enterprise compliance at Brooks by creating a program that is defensible, measurable, scalable, and embedded in how the business operates, while enabling functions to execute their responsibilities consistently. Compensation Base Salary Range: $132,456.81 USD to $179,206.28 USD Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
