About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Enterprise Architect to drive the alignment of business strategy, technology investments, data, and AI capabilities across the organization.

The Enterprise Architect will lead the evolution of the organization's business, technology, data, AI, product, and platform architecture strategy. This role ensures technology investments accelerate business outcomes through AI-enabled products, reusable platforms, modern software engineering practices, and governance frameworks that promote responsible innovation.

The Enterprise Architect will define enterprise-wide architecture standards supporting AI-powered software development, platform engineering, product-centric delivery, and responsible use of Generative AI across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Strategy & Business Alignment
• Partner with executive leadership to translate business strategy into technology and architecture roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and guiding principles.
• Align business capabilities, processes, applications, information, and technology platforms with strategic objectives.
• Establish future-state architecture blueprints that support organizational growth, innovation, and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, modernize, and optimize the enterprise technology landscape.

Architecture Governance & Decision Support
• Lead enterprise architecture governance processes and architecture review boards.
• Define standards for application architecture, integration patterns, cloud adoption, platform engineering, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Evaluate technology investments and provide recommendations that balance business value, risk, complexity, and cost.
• Drive architecture consistency across business units and technology teams.
• Ensure traceability between strategic objectives, business capabilities, and technology solutions.

Data, Analytics & AI Enablement
• Define enterprise data architecture strategies that support trusted, accessible, and governed data.
• Partner with data, analytics, and engineering teams to build scalable data platforms and AI capabilities.
• Promote AI-first and data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.
• Establish architecture patterns that enable advanced analytics, machine learning, automation, and generative AI solutions.

Technology Transformation & Modernization
• Lead enterprise-wide modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, application rationalization, platform transformation, and digital innovation.
• Develop transition roadmaps from current-state to future-state architectures.
• Identify emerging technologies and assess their applicability to business challenges and growth opportunities.
• Guide modernization efforts involving APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, automation platforms, and SaaS services.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to accelerate technology delivery and improve operational resilience.

Security, Risk & Compliance
• Incorporate security, privacy, regulatory, and resilience requirements into enterprise architecture decisions.
• Partner with cybersecurity and risk teams to ensure architectures meet security and compliance standards.
• Support business continuity, resilience, and disaster recovery planning through architecture design.
• Balance innovation objectives with governance, risk management, and operational requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
• Act as a strategic advisor to executives, business leaders, product organizations, and engineering teams.
• Facilitate collaboration across business and technology functions to achieve enterprise objectives.
• Mentor solution architects, domain architects, and technical leaders.
• Communicate architectural concepts and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and architectural excellence.

Qualifications

Required Experience
• 12+ years of experience in information technology, with significant experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or technology strategy leadership roles.
• Proven experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of business architecture, application architecture, data architecture, and technology architecture disciplines.
• Experience leading large-scale digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of modern architectural patterns including microservices, APIs, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and platform engineering.
• Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, or AI initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in SaaS, financial services, healthcare, or highly regulated industries.
• Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, FEAF, or Gartner Enterprise Architecture methodologies.
• Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, and data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of enterprise integration platforms, data lakehouse architectures, and cloud-native development ecosystems.
• Experience supporting merger, acquisition, or enterprise platform consolidation initiatives.
• TOGAF certification or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
