This position reports to:Engineering Tools Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to manage a team of engineers and technical specialists to deliver high quality, cost effective, and timely engineering solutions to product engineering teams. Each day, you will formulate plans and allocate resources to meet the agreed contractual and financial targets. You will also showcase your expertise by initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability.

This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in North America. Main stakeholders are Product Management, Engineering, R&D, and Manufacturing. .
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Providing direction to the engineering tools team with a focus on functional safety, cybersecurity, on time delivery, quality, and margin improvement.
- Ensuring the projects/ operations value chain portfolio follow sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures and that the projects are closed as per the contract specifications.
- Initiating, coordinating, driving, and overseeing continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering / design capability and efficiency, utilize agile methodologies to reduce engineering lead time, and enhance functional safety and cybersecurity.
- Driving team performance to ensure that the deliverables are met on time and as per the set contract specifications and safety, cyber security, and quality requirements.
Qualifications for the role- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Ability to demonstrate at least 10 years of experience in electrical distribution.
- You are engaged in working with product engineering and/or engineering tools maintenance and development the Electrical Distribution market.
- Highly adept in ePlan or other electrical CAD, product configurators, and/or documentation automation.
- You are passionate about project management, leadership, and mentorship.
- Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US.
