In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping how essential water infrastructure supports Edmonton's growth and ongoing development.

What you'll do
As a Technologist, Engineering, you'll play a key role in supporting multiple projects of varying complexity. You'll:
- Review and support approvals of engineering plans, land development applications, and permitting documents
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
- Provide technical support during construction and assist with issue resolution
- Track project status, timelines, and deliverables across multiple files
- Support inspections, pre-construction activities, and project handovers
- Prepare circulation packages and maintain accurate project documentation across systems (e.g., SharePoint, Oracle, POSSE)
- Assist with budgeting, financial tracking, and project closeouts
- Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned and process enhancements
What you bring
- Completion of a Diploma in Engineering Technology (Civil preferred) from a recognized post-secondary educational institute
- ASET CET designation (or eligibility)
- Minimum 4 years of directly related experience
- Candidates that do not meet this requirement (but do meet the education requirement) may be considered for a Developmental Level appointment with at least two (2) related experience
- Strong understanding of water and sewer systems, municipal design, and construction practices
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and identifying servicing conflicts
- Working knowledge of permitting processes, bylaws, and regulatory standards
- Strong communication, organization, and project coordination skills
- Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with systems like Oracle, P6, IVARA, or similar tools

- Candidates may be considered at a developmental level. In such cases, the position will be classified as T1, and compensation will be determined at the time of selection in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
