Engineering Team Lead - CE Attachments

Salina, KS - Direct Hire

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team for our customer's facility in Salina, KS. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will be an Engineering Team Lead who will lead the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of Kubota-branded construction equipment attachments while providing technical leadership and managing project execution.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:
  • Lead and supervise the CE Attachment engineering team, with the focus on design and development of Ground Engaging and Material Handling attachments for Compact Track Loaders and Excavators.
  • Own product development lifecycle from concept through product release using the Stage Gate process: planning, design, testing, validation, and launch.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to onsite and overseas contract engineers, driving technical excellence and career development.
  • Review engineering deliverables (designs, calculations, drawings, specifications) for accuracy, safety and quality compliance.
  • Drive innovation and product improvements with emphasis on performance, durability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Manage multiple engineering projects concurrently from concept through production, setting priorities, schedules, budgets, etc.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and product management teams.
  • Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment.
  • Other duties may be assigned that require additional qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural or Biosystems Machinery Engineering, or related engineering discipline from a four-year college or university.
  • 7+ years of design or product engineering experience in construction equipment, heavy machinery, agricultural equipment, or related industries.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or management experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success in managing complex engineering projects.
  • Strong foundation in structural design, welding, fabrication, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficient with CAD tools such as Creo, CATIA, Windchill and FEA applications.
  • Able and willing to travel out of state for multiple days during development phases.
