About the Role

JDS Energy & Mining is seeking an experienced and motivated Engineering Superintendent to support field execution on active mining and construction projects. This is a site-based, camp, fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) role in Arnea, Greece responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering and construction activities across complex mining and heavy civil infrastructure. The Engineering Superintendent will provide both field leadership and technical oversight, ensuring engineering designs are practical, optimized, and executed effectively in the field. This role acts as a critical bridge between engineering, construction, contractors, and project teams to ensure safe, efficient, and technically sound project delivery in remote environments. Key aspects of this role include:

  • Supporting complex mining and civil scopes across remote project environments

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise engineering and construction execution activities on site
  • Provide technical oversight to ensure field work aligns with engineering intent, specifications, and project standards
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Coordinate with engineering teams, construction crews, contractors, and project stakeholders
  • Support planning, work packaging, scheduling, and short-term execution planning
  • Identify technical risks and develop practical, field-driven solutions
  • Ensure quality, productivity, and schedule adherence across all work fronts

  • Support constructability reviews and engineering-to-field integration

  • 10+ years of experience in mining, heavy civil, or infrastructure projects
  • Previous experience in a Superintendent or Senior Field Engineering role required
