In this mandate, the Analytics Engineer plays a key role at the intersection of data engineering, architecture, and business analytics. The role focuses on transforming raw data into reliable, high-performing, and actionable analytical models. Working closely with business teams, data engineers, and data architects, the engineer ensures data quality and alignment with business needs while delivering measurable value. The role also involves contributing to the evolution of the analytics platform and participating in architecture decisions.

Work arrangement: Hybrid, 3 days/week in the office
Location: Montreal

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain analytical data models for reports and dashboards
• Translate business requirements into clear and well-documented data transformations
• Develop and maintain data transformation pipelines (ELT/ETL)
• Participate in analytical architecture decisions (models, standards, semantic layers)
• Collaborate with Data Architects on data modeling initiatives
• Analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., SAP) to ensure quality and consistency
• Ensure data quality through testing, validation, and anomaly handling
• Document transformations, models, and business definitions
• Collaborate with Business Analysts to validate metrics and KPIs
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the analytics platform
• Act as a reference for best practices in analytical modeling and SQL

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, or related field
• Strong expertise in advanced SQL and data transformation
• Solid understanding of dimensional modeling
• Strong knowledge of Power BI best practices
• Understanding of data architecture concepts
• Experience with modern BI environments (e.g., Snowflake - an asset)
• Experience with dbt (an asset)
• Experience with SAP or ERP systems
• Ability to bridge technical and business perspectives
• Ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong rigor and focus on data quality and maintainability
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Collaborative and proactive mindset
• Excellent communication skills in French and English*
• Experience in agile environments
