The Engineering Services Designer supports engineering change management, product design updates, and technical documentation for Industrial Coating Systems. This role is responsible for maintaining and modifying SolidWorks models and drawings, assisting production with engineering-related concerns, and supporting product enhancements, technical publications, and manufacturing needs. The position requires strong SolidWorks experience, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute small engineering change management projects to support product quality, documentation, and manufacturing needs.
  • Support production teams by resolving standard product engineering concerns and providing timely technical guidance.
  • Maintain and update SolidWorks models and engineering drawings in support of commercial, quality, technical publications, marketing, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop and modify 3D models, drawings, parts, and equipment based on approved design changes and change notice requirements.
  • Support technical manual imaging, updates, formatting, and related documentation projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and complete related responsibilities as needed to support business objectives


Education and Experience Requirements

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; equivalent education and relevant work experience may be considered.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience using SolidWorks in a product design, engineering, or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Strong SolidWorks experience, including 3D modeling and engineering drawing creation or modification.
  • Experience supporting product design, product enhancements, and engineering change processes.
  • Ability to assist with technical writing, commercial modeling, technical publications, and related documentation.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and problem-solving methods such as A3, 8-D, PDCA, or DMAIC.
  • Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, materials, and fastening methods used in mechanical design and products.
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with GD&T methodology and knowledge of ANSI requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge of product compliance, certifications, and regulations such as REACH, RoHS, and WEEE preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP data strongly preferred.
