Engineering - Reliability Engineer | Orlando, Florida, United States Job Summary: Reliability Engineer - Orlando, FL About the Role Join a dynamic engineering team as a Reliability Engineer, driving robust product performance and lifecycle validation. You will be central to advancing reliability practices through detailed FMECA, accelerated aging evaluations, and meaningful cross-functional collaboration. This position offers hands-on exposure to innovative test methods and the opportunity to directly impact product quality and customer trust. Responsibilities - Conduct component-level Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) in accordance with MIL STD 1629A and internal standards - Identify, assess, and document failure modes, causes, and impacts on system reliability - Assign criticality rankings and develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks - Update FMECA documentation throughout product development, capturing and applying lessons learned - Define objectives and acceleration factors for accelerated lifecycle and thermal cycling testing using advanced reliability models (e.g., Arrhenius, Coffin Manson) - Develop, coordinate, and oversee test plans, ensuring efficient execution with internal laboratories - Collaborate closely with design engineers, materials scientists, program managers, and test teams - Interpret test results and translate data into actionable reliability improvements - Maintain documentation control while managing multiple test programs and analyses Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related field - 1-3 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience - Demonstrated expertise in FMECA and accelerated aging/thermal cycling tests - Proficiency in reliability standards such as MIL STD 1629A, IEC 60812 - Strong knowledge of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material performance - Ability to develop and interpret test plans using ASTM, IEC, or MIL methods - Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills - Proven skills in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and data-driven insights - Effective multitasking and documentation management abilities Preferred Skills - Model-Based Engineering tool familiarity (e.g., Cameo) - Experience with reliability/statistical software (ReliaSoft, Weibull++, ANSYS Reliability, Minitab, R, Python) - Practical hands-on hardware test and troubleshooting experience - Analytical problem solving and innovative thinking - Experience managing subcontractors in reliability engineering Benefits - Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits - Career advancement opportunities into senior reliability and engineering leadership roles - Collaborative, supportive team environment - Exposure to advanced test methodologies and cross-disciplinary innovation - Access to continuing education and professional development resources How to Apply Ready to elevate product reliability and be a key contributor to engineering excellence?
