Join our Orlando-based team as a Senior Reliability Engineer and become a key contributor in ensuring the long-term performance and robustness of mission-critical products. This role offers the opportunity to influence product design from the ground up, working alongside multidisciplinary experts in a collaborative and innovation-driven environment. You'll take ownership of reliability analyses, design validation, and risk mitigation strategies, driving product quality and lifecycle excellence.
[Responsibilities]
- Conduct comprehensive Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analyses (FMECA) on components and subassemblies in accordance with MIL STD 1629A and internal standards.
- Identify and document failure modes, root causes, and potential effects on system performance, assigning criticality rankings and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Develop, update, and maintain FMECA worksheets throughout the product development lifecycle, capturing lessons learned and continuous improvements.
- Define, plan, and coordinate accelerated life tests using models such as Arrhenius and Coffin Manson to validate product reliability.
- Collaborate with design engineers, material scientists, test laboratories, and program managers to ensure reliability goals are met.
- Analyze large data sets from testing, interpret results, and provide actionable insights for product improvement.
- Ensure compliance with industry reliability standards and maintain documentation control.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
[Required Skills and Experience]
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 3-5 years of hands-on reliability engineering experience, emphasizing FMECA and accelerated aging/thermal cycling tests.
- Expertise in reliability analysis standards such as MIL STD 1629A or IEC 60812.
- Strong knowledge of failure physics, degradation mechanisms, and material behaviors under stress.
- Proven ability in root cause analysis, risk assessment, and generating actionable insights from large data sets.
- Experience with developing and interpreting test plans using ASTM, IEC, or MIL test methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical report writing and group presentations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and maintain documentation control.
[Preferred Skills]
- Familiarity with Model-Based Engineering tools, such as Cameo.
- Experience using reliability software-ReliaSoft, Weibull++, ANSYS Reliability-and statistical analysis tools, including Minitab, R, Python.
- Practical hands-on experience in hardware testing and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated ingenuity and innovation in solving complex technical problems.
- Capability to manage subcontractors in reliability engineering programs.
