Your opportunityAs an Engineering Project Manager at Kardium, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the execution of engineering projects in a fast-paced, highly technical hardware development environment. You will work closely with directors, managers, team leads, and cross-functional contributors to develop project plans, maintain schedules, track deliverables, identify risks, and ensure project activities are completed on time. Your ability to create clear plans, follow up on actions, communicate status, and keep teams aligned will be key to successfully delivering projects.

Meaningful work you will be a part ofYour responsibilities will include:
- Lead the planning and execution of cross-functional engineering projects.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and dashboards that provide clear visibility into project health, risks, dependencies, and upcoming capacity needs.
- Proactively identify technical, schedule, resource, and execution risks; develop mitigation plans; and drive timely decisions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate with directors, managers, technical leads, and cross-functional teams to align project activities, resolve blockers, and maintain progress against agreed schedules.
- Prepare for project gate reviews and drive completion of gate review actions, ECOs, change control tasks, materialal requests, prototype builds, design verification activities, and process validation tasks.

- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to translate complex project and resource data into clear executive-level updates and actionable insights.
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, resource planning, and reporting tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrated ability to develop dashboards, project health reporting, milestone tracking, and resource forecasts that support proactive decision-making.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to influence without direct authority.
- Ability to understand key technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs and translate them into practical project plans and mitigation strategies.
- A continuous improvement mindset with experience creating or improving project management templates, processes, frameworks, and best practices.
- Strong time management skills with a sense of urgency, agility, transparency, respect, and collaboration.
Education & Experience:- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in high-tech, medical device, life sciences, or another highly regulated technical environment.
- 5+ years of experience leading complex engineering projects or programs involving cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience in the design and development of complex medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, or electromechanical hardware products is preferred.
- Formal project management training or certification, such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent practical experience, is an asset.

Compensation Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% Retirement Savings Plan contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.
- $107,000 - $130,000 (CAD Annually)
