Full Job Description
Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments. Responsibilities are within the Engineering function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Primary Purpose
Serves as a technical authority, shaping engineering strategies and guiding major projects to achieve organizational objectives. Influences design standards, drives adoption of advanced technologies, and fosters innovation to ensure long-term reliability and competitive advantage.

The Engineering Principal I can oversee or provide critical support to manage discipline-specific contractor and supplier engineering work starting in the early project development phases through the project Execute phase. Coordinates the execution of engineering scopes with the functional E&C Engineering team and all other functional team leads. Ensures compliance with project specifications, SI guidelines and philosophies, and maintains the technical integrity of the engineering throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensures engineering projects and operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Oversees in-depth assessments of system breakdowns and develops corrective actions.
  • Guides the design, construction, and commissioning of large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Conducts high-level engineering assessments for major expansion or modernization projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Leads and manages assigned phases of the technical development and implementation of LNG and energy infrastructure projects.
  • Utilizes and updates documentation in the Engineering Knowledge Bank.
  • Serves as the Company representative during design phase at Contractor office(s).
  • Serves as the company's primary representative within industry workgroups and consortia.


Education
  • Required: Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience
  • Required: Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of 10 years of prior experience working on International Oil & Gas Projects, specifically in LNG import and export facilities.

  • Required: Ability to architect solutions that address enterprise-level engineering needs.
  • Required: Ability to communicate strategic technical recommendations to senior leadership.
