Join an industry-leading aerospace engineering team in King of Prussia, PA, specializing in the evaluation and compliance of advanced aerospace hardware materials. [Responsibilities]

- Review aerospace hardware designs for compliance with military specifications, including MIL-STD-11991.
- Evaluate electrical and electronic equipment designs, such as circuit card assemblies, piece parts, wiring, harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies.
- Develop and submit non-standard part approval requests (NSPARs) to Department of Defense organizations.
- Interpret manufacturer datasheets, source control drawings, and Bills of Materials for material selection and validation.
- Support analysis and characterization of metallic and non-metallic materials, ensuring best-in-class procurement, design, and operational standards.
- Conduct and support failure analysis, mechanical testing, corrosion studies, tribological evaluations, and environmental compatibility assessments.

[Required Skills and Experience]

- Minimum 3 years of experience working with MIL-STD-11991 requirements and developing NSPARs.
- Demonstrated expertise in corrosion control, flammability control, outgassing, and both metal and composite fabrication fundamentals.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturer datasheets, source control drawings, and Bills of Materials.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or Physics is highly recommended.
