Description

The Repairs Division in St. Louis, MO is looking for an energetic Engineering Manager with a minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in the power industry and proven leadership skills. Engineering managers can expect to multitask at any given time, build and manage diverse teams of engineers, formulate and execute strategies, and coordinate with other managers.

To be successful as an engineering manager, you should have exceptional foresight, great communication skills, working knowledge of different engineering disciplines and how they relate to one another, and an aptitude for managing risk. Ideally, candidates will have a proven track record of their supervisory and technical skills, and will have an appreciation for the complex nature of the power generation industry.

Engineering Manager Responsibilities:
  • Proposing and managing budgets and score cards for each project.
  • Managing the engineering resources in shop for multiple projects.
  • Planning and executing strategies for completing projects on time.
  • Researching and developing designs and products to support the repairs industry.
  • Support our training process and development of new procedures.
  • Support the field teams and the shop teams as applicable.
  • Ensuring all steam path products have the support from the engineering management.
  • Supporting the operations team in manufacturing / reviewal and approval (maybe change manufacturing out for reviewal and approval, your call) of drawings, material and new equipment.
  • Report review of completed reports before the report is issued to the customer.
  • Coordinating 3rd party subcontractors to support on site operations.
  • Support the growth and development of an engineering team geared towards repair of multiple OEM steam turbines
  • Provide feedback on the engineering team and individuals via yearly reviews and growth plans.


Requirements

  • Must reside in the STL Mo repairs facility.
  • Degree in engineering, engineering management, technical management, or business administration a plus
  • 10+ years of engineering experience in the power industry.
  • Must have steam path repair experience and basic knowledge of steam path design.
