What You'll Do- Lead and grow the Docs engineering team building our developer-facing documentation platform
- Player/coach role: write code where stakes are highest, review architecture, and set technical direction alongside Staff Engineers
- Own execution, quality, and team health across a TypeScript/Next.js stack hosted on Vercel
- Talk directly to customers, gather feedback, and drive product improvements from real-world developer pain
- Mentor engineers, hold a high quality bar, and help people grow
About YouYou'll be a good fit if you have:- 10+ years in software engineering, preferably in a startup environment
- Hands-on with TypeScript, Next.js, and modern frontend infrastructure
- Track record of shipping with and through teams - not just managing from a distance

We look for engineering managers who love working on hard real-world problems and stay hands-on as technical contributors. Our managers lead by example, mentor and develop others while managing our core services. This role requires active technical contributions together with people management.
Nice-to-Have:- Familiarity with API development, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Prior experience working in a SaaS or cloud-based environment.
- A passion for building systems that prioritize scalability, performance, and operational excellence.
The reasonably estimated base salary for this role ranges from $250,000 to $290,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.

At Postman we value in person collaboration. We are in office 5 days a week for all roles based out of our hubs in San Francisco Bay Area, Boston, Austin, New York City, Tokyo and London. For roles based in Bangalore, employees currently work in the office three days a week and will transition to five days per week by the end of the year. We were thoughtful in our approach which is based on collaboration and grounded in feedback from our workforce, leadership team, and peers.
