Job Description Summary
The Engineering Manager: Asset Manager will lead the Asset Maintenance and Replacement Program within our GOS Account. This role involves overseeing the management of the clients capital asset portfolio, ensuring proper data collection and integrity in tracking asset replacements and deferred maintenance. The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior leaders to align on data management, policies, and budgets, while enhancing processes that contribute to the longevity and quality of the portfolios assets.

Responsibilities
  • We are seeking a Capital Planning and Asset Lifecycle Program Manager to lead the Asset Maintenance and Replacement Program
  • This role involves overseeing the management of the Client's integrated capital asset portfolio, ensuring financial integrity in tracking asset replacements and deferred maintenance
  • Coordinate efforts with Corporate/Platform Engineering support functions
  • The ideal candidate will collaborate with senior leaders to align on data management, policies, and budgets, while enhancing processes that contribute to the longevity and quality of the Client's assets
  • Provide overall leadership and direction in the design, implementation and management of the Asset Maintenance and Replacement Program
  • Develop and advise management on strategies to manage asset replacement activities and deferred maintenance
  • Establish and maintain a standardized asset inventory and condition assessment of all fixed assets across the Client's portfolio
  • Oversee maintenance and management of the planning system, ensuring its effective use in tracking and managing asset conditions, maintenance schedules, and replacement plans
  • Develop and maintain the control framework, including policies and procedures, to update CMMS data from maintenance and construction projects, facility condition assessments, and quality controls to ensure accuracy of data for reliable forecasting and decision-making
  • Provide oversight to facility condition assessments performed by internal staff or outside contractors to ensure they meet required standards by providing policy guidance, training, and compliance testing
  • Provide financial advice and support to the Asset Chiefs in developing and executing the Maintenance Management Plan and the Long-Range Implementation Strategy for asset maintenance and replacement
  • Manage organization records, process mapping, and documentation of cross-functional information requirements for the assets
  • Provide insights into the life expectancy of all building systems and components for the annual and 5-year budget requirements in collaboration with key internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for consistency of financial reporting on maintenance and replacement activities, ensuring accuracy and transparency sufficient to financial planning decision
  • Present financial reports on asset replacement activities and deferred maintenance backlog to Senior Leadership
  • Develop, update and implement policies, procedures and formats for maintenance reporting
  • Ensure compliance with program-related policies and procedures, providing guidance and oversight to asset managers and staff leaders involved in maintenance and replacement activities
  • Oversee training requirements that promote asset survey collection, including developing the appropriate in-house training materials, coordinating and scheduling trainings, providing training and/or identifying a qualified trainer and necessary training aids
  • Drive continuous process and systems improvement of the Asset Maintenance and Replacement Program that enhances efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, business administration, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in asset management, operations or a related field; OR a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the required work
  • Knowledge of facilities management practices and asset management principles
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and industry standards in maintenance and facilities management
  • Experience with asset management tools
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, excellent leadership and team management abilities, and effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of computerized asset tracking/CMMS tools
  • Ability to travel to client sites as required (approximately 15%)
  • Ability to work remotely and prioritize time

The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.

The compensation for the position is: $ 97,750.00 - $115,000.00
