Job Overview & Responsibilities

As the Launch Systems Senior Leader you will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance for the following:
  • Developing the strategic roadmap and acquisition strategy for all future Ground Support Equipment.
  • Leading the team to integrate the non-recurring development, sustaining and launch support aspects of GSE to support the strategic roadmap.
  • Lead the team to develop and execute the next-generation GSE architecture.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Vehicle Design and Mechanical and Propulsion GSE organizations to provide sound business solutions.
  • Other duties include developing estimates at completes (EAC), contract negotiations, CAM responsibilities and provide business status to senior leadership.
  • Work with suppliers and partners to drive execution, reduce cost, improve efficiency.
  • Actively manage risk through proactive mitigation.
  • Establish continued development of our engineers, leads, and leaders through performance reviews, merits, and promotions for team along with creating immersive training activities.
  • Work with avionics and GSE disciplines to align the workforce.


Required Education

Bachelor

Required Years of Experience

Minimum of 10 years of related work experience

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and 10 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of leading teams.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership experience leveraging teamwork and development opportunities.
  • Project/program level schedule and budget development, tracking and reporting experience.
  • Experience estimating and creating proposals.
  • Experience with personnel management, including development/growth and improvement.
  • Experience leading integrated development.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Understanding of electro-mechanical and/or propulsion interfacing, comm systems, ground support equipment development and validation.
  • Personal involvement with implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems / circuits.
  • Experienced in reviewing and releasing designs.
  • Understanding of obsolescence importance and life-cycle replacement concepts.
  • Detailed knowledge of system integration and test.
  • Experience working with contractors.
  • Experience with production and launch operations.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders and customers.
  • Experience developing technical and cost proposals.
  • CAM knowledge and processes.
  • Program management skills.
  • Experience developing and leading teams.
  • Experience leading and developing leads and leaders.
  • Experience briefing Sr. Leadership, customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to tackle and fix complicated cross organizations challenges and conflicts.


Summary Salary Range (for ULA - Denver, ULA - Cape Canaveralonly): $164,324.00 - $305,173.00
