DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for an Engineer Systems. We are looking for you to join our team as an Engineer Systems based out of Orlando, FL. As an Engineer Systems at Northrop Grumman, you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Sentinel Training Devices Team in Orlando, FL. Roles and Responsibilities:- Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
- Ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
- Performing functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) field and 2 years of related technical experience; Master's degree and 0 years of related technical experience
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis, development and management
- Proficiency with at least one of:
- Requirements management tool Rational DOORS
- Cameo architecture development tool
- Ability collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, analysts, and other stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:- Proficiency with both DOORS and Cameo
- Demonstrated MBSE Experience
- Ability to develop and maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for systems and processes
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of software development methodologies
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
