Engineer, Product Service - Rotating Equipment Vibration and Bearing Systems Located: Houston Position Summary: The Product Service Engineer (Rotating Equipment Vibration and Bearing Systems) will play a critical role within the Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) Product Service Organization. The Engineer will be Subject Matter expert in Vibration, rotor train dynamics, and Bearing Systems and lead the timely and quality resolution of technical issues and drive strategic initiatives to optimize performance critical to the performance and operation of Venture Global Equipment. This role will involve coordinating and collaborating with various stakeholders, including Operations and Engineering teams, and equipment suppliers, to ensure the timely and efficient resolution of technical solutions. Key Responsibilities: OFE Management: • Define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of OFE management. • Develop and implement comprehensive processes and strategies for the management of technical solutions throughout the project lifecycle of OEM equipment. • Coordinate with Operations and Engineering teams to identify and define technical issues and work with equipment suppliers to effectively resolve and implement solutions to ensure that OFE specifications and requirements are met. • Oversee Root Cause Analysis and implement Preventative and Corrective Actions to ensure long-term resolutions. Risk Mitigation: • Proactively identify and assess potential risks associated with the operation and maintenance of equipment. • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans to minimize the impact of potential issues. • Collaborate with project and operational teams to ensure that OFE-related risks are adequately addressed. Stakeholder Coordination: • Build and maintain strong relationships with operational and engineering teams, equipment suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders. • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members to ensure project success. • Resolve conflicts and address issues related to OFE delivery and management. Performance Monitoring: • Track the performance of OFE delivery and management processes using data analytics. • Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to optimize performance. • Prepare regular reports on OFE performance and status for senior leadership. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field. • 15+ years of experience • Understanding of the LNG industry and related equipment. • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. • Proven ability to manage complex projects and meet deadlines. • Program and/or project management skills with a working knowledge of project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project). Preferred Experience: Experience in one or more of the following areas or with specified equipment is desired: • General gas turbine design, operation, or servicing • Specific knowledge of GEV 7EA, GE LM2500/LMX, and Baker Hughs gas turbines • Rotating Equipment Train Dynamics and associated testing, rotor balancing, monitoring and diagnostics, and understanding of vibration acceptance limits for safe operation • Manufacturing and Assembly Processes and Field Installation (Shaft Alignment) • Vibration Analysis, troubleshooting, and Modal Test (e.g., Impact Hammer, Shaker Test) • Bearing design and lube oil systems, instrumentation, and monitoring • Considerations for Rotor Axial thrust, measurement, and balancing concepts • Knowledge of codes/standards related to rotor dynamics, bearings, and lube oil systems • Product Service with understanding of product Service workflow, tools and processes including root cause analysis.
