Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, petroleum, controls engineering, or equivalent experience
• P. Eng in good standing with APEGA, APEGS, PEO, or equivalent Canadian body
• 5+ years of experience in an operating facility preferred
• Required experience with control system programming and documentation
• Knowledge of process simulation, design, and application
• Experience with data science tools like SAP HANA, MS Power Automate, and MS PowerBI is an asset
• Familiarity with software such as Aspen HYSYS, Unisim, Delta-V, and PI is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote Nutrien's core values of safety and integrity
• Conduct engineering studies, calculations, and simulations of facility processes
• Develop and maintain dashboards for process efficiency and energy monitoring
• Support capital project development and design through process engineering
• Design and implement process-related projects using change management procedures
• Lead operational risk assessments related to process controls and safety systems
• Maintain Operations Process Simulator and facility digital twin while monitoring key performance indicators.
