Summary/Objective

The mission of the Engineering Team is to ensure that the products we make are safe, meet all specified material properties, are correctly designed / specified, and when needed repaired. The Engineer - Market owns the relationship between PWT Engineering, our distribution partners, the specification industry, and builders. The focus is on collecting and sharing market information with the rest of the Engineering team and company. This position works closely with the PWT Sales Team, Distributors, Dealers, and Specifiers to understand the applications EWP products are used in by territory and region. Specifically, how EWP products are specified and used in residential, commercial, and industrial markets. They will share that information with the Business and Engineering team to ensure that PWT products meet market expectations and are supported by the PWT Technical Literature and Design Software.

The employee must live in one of the following states: California, Colorado, Conneticut, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington

Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelorsin engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Light frame construction experience
  • Experience in design of EWP products (I-Joist, LVL, LSL, PSL, GLB)desirable.
  • Knowledge of current codes is critical.
